I finally decided to sing! The idea of recording this song was at the back of my head for weeks and yesterday when my blogger-poet-friend Lillan said that she’d love to see the ‘Lyrics to Waterfall‘ put to song it inspired me to record this first take.
I’ve recorded the vocals on my mobile mic, sorry for the bad quality but it’s the best I could afford right now. The background music is also not very smooth, I’ve used an excerpt from the Lou Reed’s song ‘Ocean‘ and put it in loop. I hope in future when I have money I’ll record the final version of this song in a studio!
Please listen till the end! Because I especially like the ending stanza (well of course I will, wouldn’t I? haha) And please leave feedback, good or bad, all is welcome, it’s my FIRST SONG! I am eager to know how you guys find it.
Here comes the water falling down from the mountain Here comes the water washing rocks of the mountain Here it comes So cold beneath my feet (Here comes the water) Here comes the wind Howling down from the mountain misty cool and clean Here comes the wind It makes me weep (Here comes the wind) Here comes the light Dripping down from the mountain Here comes the light of Sun falling down on the mountain Here comes the light It shines on me (Here comes the Sun) Here comes the water falling down from the mountain Here comes the water washing thoughts of my conscience Here it comes so sweet, my love And oh so pure, my love running down the river to towns and cities There goes the water, see leaving the sweet mountain for that (mad) salty sea And there There it goes, bearing everything impure There it goes, into the treacherous sea.
