  1. this is such a lovely poem. I love the cycling back on itself in a sweet repeating cascade. The sounds are just so lush and gorgeous. the incantatory doubled adjectives give a softness to the first two stanzas, but there is none of this in the last stanza, all single thoughts and words, emphasizing the starkness of the real loneliness that was not imagined to be possible before the storm. So well done. It has me thinking about how we often don’t know how alone we really are until we are beset by challenges and lose are moorings with what lies above us. Thank you for this.

    1. Thank you so much for the lovely comment and praises, I’m v glad you liked it. I stay alone most of the time and sometimes it gets a slight melancholic, especially when you lose the constants and things you took for granted, I’m glad you appreciated it 🙂

  2. This is a lovely post. I’m so glad you joined us at dVerse for OLN.
I’m reminded that there is a difference between “alone” and “lonely”…..sometimes, even if we are surrounded by many, we are lonely. And sometimes when we are alone, if we just listen to the memories in our head, or the birds outside, of the sound of our breathing, we are not lonely.
