You change with the seasons
But I stay the same, you call it treason
You’ve convinced them, you’re the One
Now all of them call me demon
You think you’ve won, beaten
Me and my followers like the Sun
Are ever present and consistent
We will occupy, uncover your mission
Every opportunity, we will seize and
End you and your seasons.
open for everyone to see
I am
showing you everything
keeping nothing
hidden between the lines
nothing under
the colors on my canvas
naked
like a newborn
I am
vulnerable
in front of you
Sun shining on with summer passion
Spring's gone, her flowers burned away
I can't run, so I walk in orderly fashion
Two roses have risen in my garden
Their whiteness has a touch of gray
Sun shining on with summer passion
Even small work feels like a mess and
I feel dead tired doing it everyday
I can't run, so I walk in orderly fashion
Children playing games, school's out of session
In holiday spirit, they play and play and play
Sun shining on with summer passion
Me and my friend step out to get some
Lovely lovers loitering around the lake
Sun shining on with summer passion
I can't run, so I walk in orderly fashion.
Mother, heaven is in your loving lap!
The Sun is in your eyes and its love-light--
A beacon— hope and peace —in my blurred map
A place I find solace in when I’m tired.
Graceful lady, please take time out to love
Yourself, as much as you love me and Dhan
Precious bond between us is powerful
It'll echo through ages: Mother-son.
In my life, I will always love you more
More than any friend, family or lover
Mother, don't ever part from us, I pour
my heart out on paper, for you, mother.
These overcast days of hard rain and storm
Will pass quickly with you by my side, Mom.
Today, I tried writing in iambic pentameter for the first time. In all sonnets I’ve written till now, the pentameter and the rhymes were all there but that Iambic part was hard for me. This quatrain was supposed to be a sonnet, but I didn’t have the time to complete it, so I am just sharing this here today.
I completed the sonnet today, thanks to napowrimo for the prompt of Sonnet Sunday.

Prompt
At dverse today, Ingrid is hosting for the last time. She urges us all to write about a place/space which inspires us. She really loves sonnets, so I thought why not write one for her beautiful prompt. I couldn’t complete it, sorry for that, maybe I’ll complete it later 🙂
If you wish to read some sonnets written by me, you may browse from the following: (or you may click here)
I'm not a fan
of Zumba
before marathon
it's too loud
and too exciting.
I like a quiet walk
with stretching
to get the muscles going
and maybe an apple
20-30 minutes before
the marathon begins.
zooming past
other runners
heart hammering
brain boosting.
eying the dying
night with bad intent
I ain't tainted
in my tent
by the rain
this I attain--
New Moon Rain
what you doing?
don't leave so soon
in aquablue hue
beneath the black
lying true and still
two dead eyes
staring at skies
at low tides
New Moon Rain
cool down this mountain
and drown this ocean
call my name
through the lotion
rub it in
in slow motion
as sun comes in
my mouth again
New Moon Rain
drool down this mountain
and drought this ocean
New Moon Rain
what you doing
won't you stay
a little more!
come on!
please!
just
one
